Puts on a beautiful show of flowers eartly in the spring, followed by delicious purple berries. The berry clusters tend to grow in a cluster, unlike the common serviceberry that produces more grape like clusters with a 5-10 cm central stem with berries growing along it. Very similar to common serviceberry except this species stays a shrub.
